OpenAthens is a secure password system used to access many of the electronic resources purchased by QEHKL Knowledge and Library Service and also those provided nationally via NHS England.
Your free NHS OpenAthens account is your key to unlocking digital knowledge resources. If you need help to register or renew your account watch our short video.
All QEHKL staff and students on placement are entitled to register for an NHS OpenAthens account.
Registration is free, and accounts last 2 years for permanent staff and for the duration of the contract or placement for temporary staff and students.
If you are transferring to QEHKL from another Trust you may already have an OpenAthens account. If so, it is important you transfer it to QEHKL in order to gain access to local resources. Just login to your OpenAthens account and select "change organisation". If your previous account has expired you will need to register again.
